My Story…
I, like many health practitioners, am here because I personally have struggled with debilitating health issues. From my early years I was reticent and shy as a child, my natural tendency was to hold back and observe a way to fit in. That way of being fit into my family dynamics. Starting in middle school years, I remember being driven by sugar cravings, obsession with weight issues leading to binge-eating, low energy, and in addition, the emotional burden of carrying guilt, self loathing, and an ongoing state of depression.
My parents were both very health conscious before it was ever popular, my mother made homemade whole food meals from organic veggies picked from my father’s garden. The teachers commented and were even envious of the nourishing lunches I brought to school. Despite a good diet and conscious lifestyle, my health issues were not improving. After years of multiple testing and various visits to both conventional and alternative doctors, I was eventually diagnosed with Epstein-Barr followed by Mononucleosis, with no cure for either one. At this point, I felt like my health issues were in my own hands, so I began trying different diets (vegetarian, vegan, paleo, candida, elimination, Ayurvedic, etc.) which lead me to certification from Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts.
As I was learning how to help myself, it was natural for me to think about how I could help others, so I chose a degree in Sociology (Hawaii Pacific University) and that lead me to a study abroad course in Costa Rica. I fell in love with Costa Rica and returned after graduating from college in search of the pura vida lifestyle and in hopes of finding myself and what sparked my inner light. The abundance of natural beauty, kind locals, and endless waves didn’t fix my debilitating health issues. It was tough because from the outside I looked strong, fit, and healthy, but internally every day was a struggle. I dealt with extreme fatigue, achy body, stomach pain, IBS, hormonal issues, and mood swings. I had shingles three different times, along with painful swollen lymph nodes. My symptoms continued to increase as my energy decreased, and I began to have more bad days than good. More doctors visits and exams later, I tested positive for the parasite, Babesia, which I now know is a Lyme coinfection.
This diagnosis began parasite cleansing, I have tried a countless number of parasite cleanses as well as incorporating antiparasitic food and herbs into my meals with little results. As time went on, additional symptoms surfaced, and I continued to search for answers. Knowing I needed to keep a calm mind and nervous system as part of my healing, I decided to do a foundational Reiki course as well as complete my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification. Yoga has been a passion of mine for many years and flowing on the mat, guided by the breath, feels like an essential part of healing. During this time I also began working with a practitioner who recommended I do a GI MAP test. The GI MAP results showed H.pylori infection, SIBO, candida, along with other imbalances. I began a new protocol to help with these issues, as well as consistent visits to an acupuncturist to help regulate my nervous system. I had made some progress but knew there was still more investigating to do to get to the root of my symptoms, and that is when I came across bio-resonance testing.
My first Bioresonance scan and individualized protocol gave me relief I had never felt before, I had finally found something that works, after a lifelong struggle. This opened up a whole new portal of possibility and sparked my passion for supporting others, running scans, and creating protocols. This work requires one to tune in and become more mindful of self and listening to what the body is asking for. Although, peeling back the layers of years of chronic illness takes time, and is not confined to linear time, I now truly believe everyone can heal, and I am passionate about supporting others to feel their best, most vibrant self.
